Ludum Dare 32 Is Coming…

The thirty-second iteration of the excellent Ludum Dare game competition and jam starts this weekend, with the theme voting already underway. As usual, theres the 48 hour competition, which requires you make everything from scratch, and the 72 hour jam, which allows you to use previously made assets and work in a team. If you’re joining the jam, you can find some lovely assets to assist you HERE , and if you’re up for something a little more social, theres a list of real world locations, many of which still have spaces, HERE .

This time round, the keynote is hosted by Jari, known as Sol_HSA, a long time jammer, and he has a challenge for you, whether you’re a new or returning participant :

If you can’t wait to get involved, discussion is already beginning, and you can still vote for the themes you want to win right now HERE .

While I have a complete and utter lack of time this weekend, I feel that’s a good excuse to further challenge myself and try and make something that works and fits the theme in whatever time I have, and I intend to get a little more involved with the community and across social media this time, not to mention in the judging afterwards. I’d recommend anyone else that’s similarly strapped to do the same!

Ludum Dare starts across the globe at 02:00 UK time (BST) on the 18th of April, and if you’re participating, I look forward to trying out your creations!
